The regional U16 'Mad Dogs' side fought hard for a 19-15 victory against Riviera in Yverdon on May 2. The result maintains their dreams of appearing in the finals, which would cap a memorable season.

In the away fixture against Riviera, the Mad Dogs pulled off a remarkable comeback from trailing 5-15 in the closing minutes of the match. Two late converted tries were the perfect reward for a determined defensive performance and a never-say-die attitude.

The team came close to pulling off a double victory against a strong Riviera side, but fell agonisingly short 19-24 in the home fixture at Deutweg, Winterthur, on April 25. The difference between the two results was the odd bounce of the ball and a burst of extra late energy in the away fixture.
